About Crannlann
A place of trees.
Crannlann is Irish for a place of trees — from crann (tree) and the suffix -lann (place). It's the name we wanted the nursery to live up to.
Rooted here, sourced from the best.
We started Crannlann to close a gap we kept running into: the plants we most wanted for Irish gardens — mature specimens, hand-clipped topiary, ancient olives — were either impossible to find or bought sight unseen.
So we built long-standing relationships with the great growers of Pistoia, in Tuscany — the tree-growing capital of Europe — and combined that with a proper Irish nursery yard for the plants we grow and hold ourselves.
Every plant that leaves us is either grown in our own soil or hand-picked on a nursery visit, and comes with a full EU plant passport.
What we believe
Three things we do not compromise on.
Quality
We choose plants that will thrive — not just look good in the van. If a shipment isn't right, it goes back.
Rootedness
Everything we do starts with Irish gardens, Irish soils, and Irish weather. That's where the plant will live.
Service
A tree is a big thing to plant. We stay involved — from your first WhatsApp to a year of aftercare.
The team behind the trees.
A small team — a nurseryman, a grower, a delivery-and-planting crew, and a very patient office.

Sustainability & EU plant passport
Every plant we deliver is authorised under the EU plant passport regime, with full traceability from grower to your garden. We use peat-free growing media in our own yard, reuse pots and pallets where possible, and consolidate deliveries by county to keep vehicle movements down.
